The mission of GM Rural Training is to provide quality training and share best practice knowledge to rural Australians & people who use pesticides.
Our ChemCert courses are designed to ensure organisations and their employees are aware of their obligations under the relevant Acts and obtain the knowledge and skills required to meet these regulations.
GM Rural Training (formerly Graham Matthews Training) is part of the ChemCert Training Group Pty Ltd a registered training organisation. As such GM Rural Training has undergone and met the high standards demanded by the national audit process.
GM Rural Training is registered throughout Australia to deliver the national farm chemical competency standards as defined in the Conservation and Land Management Training Packages and is one of the major private providers of farm chemical safety training in NSW.
Graham Matthews is the lead trainer for GM Rural Training, and a director of the ChemCert Training Group.
Graham has been providing training to the rural community since 1992. Graham has over 30 years experience in the industry (20 years as a Council Chief Noxious Weeds Officer) and has presented papers at many seminars and conferences. Graham has an Associate Degree in Agricultural Protection from Charles Sturt University and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training. Graham is also a beef cattle producer.
GM Rural Training has a team of qualified instructors most of whom are farmers, who have also worked as farm advisors, chemical researchers or spray contractors.
All trainers have extensive experience in both practical application and theory and can relate easily to members of the farming community.
